Stairlift Aftercare

We’re committed to supporting you with your stairlift, refurbished stairlift and hired stairlifts. Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about stairlift aftercare and how we can help you ensure consistent use of your stairlift.

Top Tips:

  • Always read your stairlift manual.
  • Learning how to reset your stairlift is a good idea.
  • Leave your stairlift turned on; it uses very little energy, and unplugging it can damage the battery pack.
  • If you’re home alone, have your phone on you when you use the stairlift.
  • Keep our phone number in your phone; our engineers are available 24/7.

How to Care for Your Stairlift

Keep your stairlift in top condition by keeping the track free from dust and debris, avoiding liquids near the controls, and ensuring the seat and armrests are clean. Always turn the stairlift off when not in use for long periods, and never try to fix issues yourself; always contact a professional. Routine servicing is essential to maintaining safety and performance.

Stairlift Servicing

Regular servicing keeps your stairlift running safely and smoothly. We recommend:

  • Every 12 months for standard use
  • Every 6 months for heavy-duty stairlifts

We service new, refurbished, and hired stairlifts to the same high standard.

If you have a problem with one of our products, call our team on 01427 787 532, and they will be happy to discuss your issue and offer advice and solutions.

If it is determined that your stairlift needs a repair or a callout, we’re here to help. 95% of breakdowns are attended to the same day, and we fix 70% on the first visit. If parts are needed, we aim to return the next day if they are in stock; any ordered parts typically arrive within 48 hours.

Repair costs

All stairlifts, including our refurbished stairlifts, come with a minimum 12-month warranty, and our hire stairlifts include ongoing maintenance.

Maintenance Packages

We offer two types of 12-month service contracts to keep our products working at their best:

  • Labour Only – covers call-outs and repairs.
  • Parts & Labour – includes full cover and annual servicing.
