Through-Floor Lift Aftercare

We’re committed to ensuring you feel confident, safe, and supported with your through-floor lift. Below are tips and advice on caring for your lift to ensure its longevity.

Top Tips:

  • Familiarise yourself with your user manual. It contains essential information for everyday operation and basic troubleshooting.
  • Keep the lift area clear. Ensure that the entry/exit points and lift path are free from obstacles at all times.
  • In case of emergency, have a phone nearby. This is especially important if you live alone.
  • Save our contact number: Our support team and engineers are available 24/7 to help.
  • Use your home lift for its intended purposes; it is not designed to lift heavy goods.
  • Keep your lift at the lower level when not in use. If left upstairs for prolonged periods, it will occasionally re-level itself depending on conditions.

How to Care for Your Through-Floor Lift:

  • Keep the lift and surrounding floor areas clean and dry.
  • Avoid liquids near the controls or motor.
  • Never exceed the recommended weight limit.
  • Don’t attempt DIY repairs. Always contact a qualified professional.
  • If you plan to be away or not use the lift for an extended period, call us for guidance on shutdown procedures.

Routine maintenance is essential to keep your lift running safely and reliably. We recommend:

  • Every 12 months for standard residential use
  • Every 6 months if the lift is in constant or heavy use (e.g., in care homes)
