Obam Stairlifts 25th Birthday Donation - Terms and Conditions

  • This promotion is limited to two (2) new straight stairlift donations only as part of Obam Stairlifts’ 25th birthday celebration.
  • Nominations are open to residents of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire only.
  • Eligible nominees must require a straight stairlift to maintain independence in their own homes.
  • Nominations may be submitted by friends, family members, neighbours, occupational therapists or by the potential recipient themselves.
  • All nominations must be submitted using the designated online form with complete and accurate information, including name, email, phone number, nominee’s name, county location, and a detailed explanation of why the nominee would benefit from a stairlift.
  • Obam Stairlifts reserves the right to review and evaluate all nominations at their sole discretion.
  • Two recipients will be selected by Obam
  • Stairlifts’ experienced team from all qualifying nominations received.
  • Selected recipients will receive either a new Access BDD HomeGlide Extra Straight Stairlift or a new Platinum Stairlifts Ergo Straight Stairlift, as determined by Obam Stairlifts.
  • Both donated stairlifts are suitable for stairs without any bends or intermediate landings and require a space of 800mm or greater at the bottom to land safely and 100mm at the top of the space for rail over hang. They are not for curved staircases.
  • Both donated stairlifts have a maximum weight capacity of 25 stone and are suitable for staircases as narrow as 740mm.
  • Installation is subject to the user’s back-to-knee measurement and knee flex to ensure there is no knee clash on the stairs and the user can rest their feet on the footplate for safety without discomfort.
  • Each donation includes a free professional site survey conducted by Obam Stairlifts’ salaried professionals to assess suitability and specific installation requirements.
  • Professional installation by Obam Stairlifts’ manufacturer-trained engineers is included in the donation.
  • Each donated stairlift comes with a 12-month parts and labour warranty from the date of installation.
  • Recipients receive access to Obam Stairlifts’ 24/7 emergency engineer service during the warranty period.
    Future removal, relocation or reinstallation of the donated stairlift is not covered under this donation and would be at the recipient’s expense.
  • Ongoing maintenance and safety checks beyond the initial 12-month warranty period are the responsibility of the recipient.
  • The donated stairlifts are provided “as is” and Obam Stairlifts makes no additional warranties beyond the standard manufacturer warranty.
  • Recipients must allow reasonable access to their property for site survey, installation and any warranty service requirements.
  • Obam Stairlifts reserves the right to decline installation if the site survey determines the property is unsuitable for a straight stairlift.
  • No cash alternative is available for this donation.
  • The donation has no monetary value and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged.
  • Recipients are responsible for any electrical work that may be required at the installation site.
  • Obam Stairlifts reserves the right to use recipient testimonials and installation photos for marketing purposes unless specifically declined by the recipient.
  • These terms and conditions may be updated at Obam Stairlifts’ discretion, and the most current version will apply.
  • Any disputes arising from this donation program will be governed by English law and subject to the jurisdiction of English courts.
  • Obam Stairlifts’ decision regarding recipient selection is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding this decision.
  • The company reserves the right to withdraw or modify this promotion at any time without prior notice.
  • By submitting a nomination, nominators confirm they have the consent of the nominee to share their personal information for the purposes of this donation program.
  • Personal data collected through the nomination process will be handled in accordance with Obam Stairlifts’ privacy policy and applicable data protection regulations.
