Through Floor Home Lift

Our through floor home lift is designed for safety, flexibility and independence. The advanced design of the Wessex Through Floor Lift affords great benefits to the user:

A lift designed for independence
Illuminated, ergonomically designed internal lift controls for ease of use. Powered door option for greater independence.
Flexibility of Lift Installation Locations
Free-standing design of our through floor lift does not require load bearing wall. Door opening and internal controls may be either left or right and can be changed to enable relocation of lift.

Attention to Safety
Wessex through floor home lifts, VM range, are EC Type tested by a notified body and comply with Schedule 4 of “The Supply of Machinery Safety Regulations 1992”. All Wessex lifts are CE marked in compliance with European Regulations, and comply with BS 5900.
Installation, Instruction and After Sales Care
Our Area Sales Manager will advise on necessary building work required prior to lift installation. The through floor lift will be installed by Wessex trained personnel, who will also give comprehensive training on lift operation and advice on service and maintenance. An operating manual is given to the user for future reference.

Choice of through floor lift models:
VM30 – Seated lift, lifting up to 3m
VM31 – Standard wheelchair lift, lifting up to 3m
VM36 – Large wheelchair lift, lifting up to 3m
VM38 – Extra large wheelchair lift, lifting up to 3m
VM50 – Seated lift, lifting up to 3.5m
VM51 – Standard wheelchair lift, lifting up to 3.5m
VM56 – Large wheelchair lift, lifting up to 3.5m
VM58 – Extra large wheelchair lift, lifting up to 3.5m

Features
•  Timer-controlled lights Illuminate the lift car. They are activated automatically by the operation of the lift and switch off after a pre-set time
•  Fixed internal ramp for easy access. Lift takes less room for ‘tighter’ fits increasing space outside the lift for manoeuvring a wheelchair
•  Lift arrives flat packed for ease of transport and entry into the home, where the lift is assembled by Wessex trained engineers
•  In the event of power failure emergency back-up systems operate the door, light and alarm, and lower the lift to the ground
•  Free-standing lift tracks eliminates the need for a load-bearing wall, thus giving a wider choice of lift location
•  Audible two-tone alarm with battery back-up is fitted as standard for use in an emergency
•  Lift safety edges will automatically stop the home lift in ascent is touched or obstructed
•  Sensors built in to the floating platform prevent descent if obstructed
•  An aesthetically pleasing pearl grey exterior and a lavender interior
•  Illuminated internal push button controls designed for ease of use
•  Door and lift controls can be handed right or left to suit the user
•  Integral fire seal
•  SWL 250kg

Options
•  Grab handles fitted as standard to front of car in VM30 and VM50 models. Available as optional extra on all other models
•  Key control system which may be incorporated into the call stations to prevent unauthorised use
•  The Wessex seat is available as an option in all the models
•  Power door VM31,36,38,51,56,58 model only
•  Universal telephone socket fitted as standard
•  Telephone may be supplied as optional extra
•  Remote control for added convenience

Standards
Wessex policy is one of continuous products development and the company therefore reserves the right to alter product or component specifications without notice. The new British Standard BS5900:2012 was published with effect from 30th April 2012. The previous standard BS5900:1999 will remain current until the 30th April 2013. Wessex Lift Co Ltd as the market leader in Through Floor Lifts meets all current standards and as with all our products fully meets the Essential Health and Safety Requirements of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. The Wessex range of Through Floor Lifts has been type tested by TUV Rheinland certificate number 01/205/0120/11A.
